Stinton Gardens Aged Accommodation (Independent Living in Greenbushes)

Stinton Gardens currently consists of 5 x 2-bedroom aged living units for over 55’s.
A further 5 units are due to be constructed by mid 2026.
The units are managed by Housing Choices WA (HCAU), through their Bunbury office.
The Greenbushes Aged Community Committee (GACC), who developed and previously managed the 5 units, has representation on the Joint Tenancy Allocations Committee to inform allocation decisions and ensure Shire of Bridgetown Greenbushes residents are prioritised.
Therefore, if you are seeking accommodation at Stinton Gardens you should:
STEP ONE:
Register your interest with GACC at The Greenbushes CRC (Your name & contact details) – in person at 46 Blackwood Rd, Greenbushes, or via email hello@greenbushescrc.net.au or phone on 9764 3575. Please also include your current living situation. A CRC representative will contact you so they can fill out a checklist to confirm your potential eligibility. Eligibility will be determined by DOC & HCAU when a unit becomes available.
STEP TWO:
Apply to the Department of Communities (DOC) Manjimup Office for housing using their application form which can be downloaded by clicking here:
www.wa.gov.au/system/files/2023-08/sd016_housing_options_assessment_interactive.pdf
IMPORTANT: When filling out the form you must ensure that you give permission to be referred to Community Housing. Put either Greenbushes or Manjimup as your preferred LGA. You need to be Registered with the DOC and on their joint wait list to be considered for social housing at Stinton Gardens. HCA allocates social housing from this list.
The existing units are a joint venture with the Department of Communities and therefore there are Eligibility and Income Asset Limits.
The Eligibility and Income Asset Limits can be found at:
https://www.wa.gov.au/system/files/2023-09/community_housing_income_and_asset_limits_policy.pdf
If you do not meet Social Housing Band A income eligibility limits, you may be eligible for Affordable Housing Band B. Your eligibility may be determined by HCAU and you would need to fill in a HCAU Housing Application form in order to be assessed.
This form can be collected from the CRC. You can use the above income and asset limits policy as a guide to your eligibility.
